What is Motability?

Motability is a registered charity which helps disabled people to become more mobile and independent through the use of cars and powered wheel chairs. Motability has made a real difference to many peoples' lives making them more independent and giving them the freedom to do things like visit the local shop or go and see friends.

Who Qualifies for help from Motability?

To qualify for help from Motability you need to be currently receiving either the Higher Rate Mobility Supplement or the War Pensions Mobility Supplement. You may also apply on behalf of a child over the age of three who is receiving one of the benefits. Even if you don’t drive but receive one of the above benefits Motability can still help you, because you can apply to Motability as a passenger and propose two other people as drivers.
